The first hole at Rolling Meadows Country Club is a Par 5 that measures 488 yards from the white tees. A rolling fairway runs uphill on this dogleg left. Keep your second shot to the right side of the fairway to avoid the slope that runs toward the woods on the left side of the fairway. As you approach the green you’ll notice the large, figure-8 shaped bunker that hugs the front left side. If you go left or long on your approach, you’ll find not only the trap, but also a slope that funnels down and away from the green. The right side of the green is a safer play on this magnificent starting hole.
